Description
A staple of Maryland and East Coast cuisine, the crab cake is believed by many to actually have been invented by Native Americans in the Chesapeake Bay region. The method of removing crab meat from the shell was taught to colonists when they arrived in the area, and is even still used to this day. Our crab cakes are made specifically with blue crab, portunas pelagicus, crucial in the infamous Maryland style crab cake designation. Made from 70% lump and claw meat, our cakes are hand mixed and formed to ensure that our cakes keep their shape and density. These flavorful tribute to East Coast history can be baked, sauteed, or deep fried.
