Description
Barbacoa was originally created in the Caribbean islands, then traveled south to Mexico. Traditionally prepared in an underground brick-lined oven, it combined lamb or goat with chilis, herbs, and other spices. Nowadays it is normally prepared with pork, chicken, or beef, but still packs the same bold flavors and melt in your mouth texture. Our chicken barbacoa tamales combine those classic flavors enhanced by spicy arbol and puya peppers, combined with infused masa wrapped in a corn husk.
